Sandidge Urban Group, known as SUG, is led by Cherene Sandidge, a highly accomplished real estate professional with over 35 years of experience in real estate development and financing. Her expertise encompasses affordable housing, construction, construction management, and commercial shopping center/retail development. Under her leadership, SUG has successfully developed over 2,000 units of new housing for low-income families, promoting sustainability and community renewal.

Cherene is a passionate advocate for laws and policies that benefit both the industry and the public, actively participating in discussions around gentrification and minority displacement. With extensive experience as a general contractor, she has also provided critical support as a first responder in emergency building reconstruction.

In addition to her professional achievements, Cherene holds positions on several housing boards and is currently the Chair and Founder of the Black Developers Forum, a statewide organization dedicated to ensuring equity in the disbursement of state funds for Black developers.
